I’ve been playing around with Sun VirtualBox. Installation of both Windows XP and CentOS 5 went smooth, but installing the guest OS tweaks – in the VirtualBox world referred to as Additions – gave me a little trouble on CentOS.

One thing which VirtualBox was missing till some time back was support for 3D acceleration for guest operating systems. What this means is that the graphics driver used inside the guest virtual machines was only capable of simple 2D

look for your xp cd/iso and download gparted live cd iso; create a second harddrive in virtualbox with the desired size (e.g. 20gb) and mount it to the virtualmachine as second harddrive; mount the gparted live cd to the virtualmachine
